17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 ESV
While on Earth Jesus’ focus was on the reconciliation of humanity to the Father. Every move he made was done with this ultimate goal in mind. Therefore, as Disciples of our Lord, His ministry of reconciliation has become our ministry of reconciliation. Every move we at DCIM makes is done with the intent of Biblical repentance.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, ~ 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ESV
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. ~ Romans 1:16 ESV
We at DCIM believe vehemently that the Bible is about Christ from Genesis to Revelation. It is about his glorious victory over Sin & Death by him dying on the cross and those who believe in his work on the cross will be saved. This is the message that we preach, knowing that apart from Christ’s death, burial & resurrection we are all stuck in our sins and headed to eternal damnation. Therefore, as Paul said, “We our not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for ALL who believe.”
Reaching, Teaching & Releasing Ambassadors for Christ
We believe as Ambassadors for Christ we are uniquely gifted to operate in foreign lands. As Citizens of the kingdom of God, our job is to reach the lost & impact them with kingdom principles.
We believe the Gospel not only has a proclamation aspect to it, but a discipleship aspect as well. That is, according to Matthew 28, we are charged with making disciples of all men baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to live a holy and separated life in this present world.
We believe as Ambassadors for Christ we must equip our fellow believers with the necessary tools to proclaim and defend the hope that we have. And then release them so that they may then fulfill the command given to them in Matthew 28 as well.
